Great Art Paper for Beginners

After trying this product, I am impressed with its quality. The paper is thick and durable, perfect for watercolor paintings. The texture also adds a nice effect to the artwork. However, the price point may be a little higher than some other art paper options on the market. Overall, I highly recommend this as a great option for beginner painters looking for high-quality art paper.

Pros
  • Great for beginners to learn and experiment with watercolors
Cons
  • Requires additional purchase of paintbrushes and watercolor paints to use the paper effectively.

This is excellent for 19th century photographic processes.

Excellent for 19th century photographic processes. We've used it on Van Dyke Brown and Cyanotype with excellent results.

Pros
  • The fine-grain texture is smooth, holds mixed media and watercolor well, dries quickly and ensures very little pigment penetrates through the top surface of the paper.
Cons
  • unreliable

expected something different

I was expecting the paper to be a little more absorbent than this one. Not bad, but the watercolor seems to linger on the page for a bit before absorbing. Cheaper paper is fine for school paper at this price point.

Pros
  • Ideal for all wet techniques with watercolour, gouache and acrylic. The 90lb weight makes the paper ideal for large washes of 1-2 colors.
Cons
  • Damaged
