My mare has worn this blanket and has stayed dry through many torrential downpours. I don't have to worry about the outside temperature as it never overheats even in 60-70 degree weather. Now that she's outside instead of in her box with her back to the storm, I don't feel guilty.

My horse has been using this blanket for two years now. It was her usual winter coat in Phoenix, and now it's her raincoat in winter in the snowy mountains when it's too warm to wear her big winter blanket. This kept her dry during some heavy showers (over a sheet to help insulate and kept her dry) as she likes to be out in the rain from time to time. The butt strap is useless and I ended up cutting it off because it collected all her junk and was constantly dirty.

I LOVE this duvet! It is waterproof and durable, yet very light. I live in Arizona so I don't need thicker blankets. I like the way he sits on the horse. Clips are durable. Brown and mint colors appear reserved and stylish. The belly straps criss-cross the horse's belly and hold in place well. The only thing that confuses me is the strap that goes under the tail. He's in the right place to catch you know what. It seems silly to have a loose shoulder strap on a blanket. Otherwise 5 stars, love…
