They sew perfectly, leaving no holes or hooks. But when sewing some sweatpants from the footer of a 2-thread loop, 2 needles broke .

I ordered these needles because I was having trouble with my machine's stretch fabrics. It works great on stretch fabrics and I no longer have the skipping issues I used to have. I wanted to replace them with my regular utility needles when I wanted to sew cotton, but one day I forgot about it and found that it works great with slack cotton too. With cotton and stretch fabrics I just leave this needle in the machine because it works better than the universal needles.

I've been sewing quite a bit during this pandemic and often use stretch needles. I was really surprised at how much I was able to sew before changing them. I usually change needles after a few days of sewing to make sure they are sharp. I haven't done this and haven't encountered any problems with "universal" needles yet.
