Schwinn Wins for Sports

The Schwinn multi-tool is always at hand. It's compact, pocket-sized, and has everything you need for basic repairs on the go. It doesn't have a chain break tool, but you're better off using a separate tool for it. Damn

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Modernity

Great tool. Forget the fancy expensive brands

A great tool that saved me once. I have one on each of my bikes. Forget the ridiculously expensive offerings of other "cooler" brands. Schwinn wrote the book The American Cyclist.

Pros
  • Rugged design
Cons
  • Repair

It quickly became a favorite of all my multi tools

I had three of these which I bought cheaply when our local Kmart store closed. It quickly became a favorite of all my multi-tools. Very light so you hardly feel it in your pocket. And you won't find an 8mm hex at this price point on any other tool. Remember that it doesn't have a flathead screwdriver. If your bike uses this, this tool may not be for you. I saw that if I go over $35 I get free shipping. So I ordered six of these. You could easily pay the same for another all-in-one or two that…

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • A few little things

It's never a good day when you're riding a road bike, have a problem and realize someone has broken your bike tool has made. It never hurts to have more of these, and for teens who ride around the neighborhood wanting to "twist" their bikes, an inexpensive tool is a must. He'll get lost, but until then they're happily fixing their stuff and staying out of my saddlebag. So far nothing could be repaired for which there was no appropriate tool in this set, everything was fine. Used with equal…

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • It's OK

GOOD CHEAP SMALL QUICK TOOL

THIS TOOL MAY NOT WORK WITH EVERY BIKE, but it's a pretty decent and cheap tool that fits easily in your pocket and won't slow you down. While some of the tools are a bit short, it's great that the tool overall is small enough to be easily rotated and squeezed into small spaces. One of the main reasons not to throw this tool away in favor of another is that it has an 8mm allen key. However, in this price range you might want to get another tool if you don't care about weight or size…

Pros
  • Everything super!
Cons
  • Drill Kit

Worked as expected - Sports

I only had to use them once during this review but after some experimentation I was able to disconnect and reconnect the chain. I was using a 1/8" single speed chain. I was concerned about chain damage based on other comments posted, but that wasn't an issue for me. It's not rocket science - put the chain in the machine, center the pin with the punch and turn the crank until the pin is 90% off (make sure the pin doesn't pop out all the way) grip, then STOP, reset, set and try again.I really…

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Not the best

In any case, the hex itself was too big. Generally not a very good product.

I'm no bike expert. But I was expecting an all-in-one tool to have a fairly normal sized hex for a fairly "normal" bike. The hex I needed was slightly larger and the next one on the bottom was too small (to mount/tighten the handlebars to the front of the bike). But even if the hex would fit, I think it would be difficult to turn. I managed to get the angle of the hex and I tried to use the tool the best I could, but in addition to not going all the way in, the tool itself is difficult to grip…

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Nothing

Rugged Tool - Cyclic

I purchased this tool after the Schwinn 9-in-1 tool I had for two years was stolen. The 9-in-1 tool has served us well over the years and none of the tools have ever broken or worn out despite frequent use. The tool with 18 functions has proven its reliability so far and is made of high-quality materials. However, I have come to the conclusion that I will most likely never use sockets simply because there are no places on my bike to use them. If like me you can't use box wrenches, I recommend…

Pros
  • Excellent Overall Performance
Cons
  • No Automatic

Not a bad power distributor for the price, but with some problems.

It definitely works and is offered at a good price. I have only two criticisms, one slightly more important than the other. The first remark is the lack of overlays on the handles. When I bought it I didn't think it would be a problem, but it was my first time using a circuit splitter. I underestimated the force required to break and reconnect the chain. A small spacer would have helped me hold the tool better when positioning and rotating. The bigger issue is what I believe to be a design flaw

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Some cons
