Install the lock washers onto the shaft and tighten.

Install and tighten the lock washers onto the shaft. Should prevent it from vibrating. I took a 1 inch piece of steel. Drilled the holes far enough apart that I could put it in a vise and screw it in. Install the mirror in 1 hole, then take a bolt and nut and insert them between the handlebar bracket. Tighten and position. I did this to be able to put it on the right.

The bigger the mirror the better

This is my second bike mirror. The first was designed for straight bars and I had curved bars so I kept adjusting them trying to get a good angle of movement. Luckily it fell apart after a few months. This Schwann mirror is better; The longer stem gives me a better viewing angle, but I still have to adjust it almost daily. I've come to the conclusion that I need the largest practical mirror, so I'm going to replace that one too. No problems with construction.

Only use with round handlebar grips - not for ergonomic flat handles

Do not work with ergonomic flat handles. You can only tilt the mirror vertically, not at the desired horizontal angle. The round handle allows you to lean in any direction. So they are really only suitable for straight handlebars with full round grips. Also, the mirror itself is relatively small, making adjustment even more limited. If the mirror were slightly convex, you wouldn't need this fine adjustment. Remember that the mirror on a bike is more than an arm's length away, so size does…

Good mirror, but only for the left side. The ad didn't say that.

I received the mirrors and immediately noticed that they are left side mirrors. I saved them and installed the right one upside down. It's barely noticeable unless you look closely, but it was annoying that they didn't make it clear in the Amazon ad. Why would anyone order two if they don't want to put both of them on the same bike? That's the only reason they got three stars instead of five. I bought mirrors for my delta scooter which needs a very long stem so you don't have to look at your…

best available on bike Mirror

See Update --- There are 2 sets of 2 mirrors for 2 adult tricycles (really the same on bikes). The rubber insert in the loop handle holds it firmly enough that the mirror does not fold down. The top and bottom nuts must be STRONG OR sometimes retightened to prevent the mirror from twisting. The length of the mirror shaft and its shape allow you to comfortably see what's behind you. Other mirrors that mount on the handlebars are too short and will block your rear view (except for those that…

Fairly inexpensive and surprisingly useful mirror

Okay, I know the Schwinn name doesn't mean the same thing it used to (like Bell bike accessories did). However, this mirror is not bad. I use it at the end of a mountain bike handlebar. The end hole in this mirror is a bit small for my mountain bike handlebars, but it works, largely thanks to the velcro that allows me to dexterously position the mirror. So far the mirror has stayed on the bike, no crashes but I've only ridden paved trails and roads. The bracket is placed on the end of the…

Not what I was hoping for

This is actually a pretty well made bike mirror that attaches very easily to any handlebar with a cup shaped plastic part that fits over the grip part with a hook. and a loop strap that attaches it to the handle in a way that doesn't interfere with grip, but the mirror itself really needs to be at least slightly convex to give a wider field of view, and far enough away from the rider. eyes that as it's just a small flat mirror rear vision is quite limited to the point where checking vehicles…
