Doesn't quite fit a 1998 Blazer

I put them on a 1998 Blazer. I had a lot of trouble getting them into the caliper with the hardware on. I ended up having to grind down the 16 inches from both the pad tips and the sides of the tips to fit the caliper. The calipers were brand new and I don't know if it was the caliper or the pad but I suspect the pad is a bit big as I bought the exact same caliper as last time.
