Good for what it does

Fits 04 F250 5.4L Super Duty This is a great value kit. It fits the car and fits with no issues. Packing is a simple plastic bag. There are no instructions, but you insert the tube from the front. You will need the aftermarket stereo's metal clips to fit the stereo into the kit. One of the clips broke during shipping and the other clips look like they will break with any pressure on them. The set wasn't worth the hassle of the broken clip, it just lost a star. It really went right into the…

Pros
  • Quality automotive grade ABS
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

Great kit, if only for the rear track bracket

While installing a new radio on a 2003 Mazda Tribute, I found that the dash kit I ordered (Metra 99-7505) This did not completely solve the problem of installing a new radio. The Metra kit includes a rear support connector, but since the machine does not have a slot for the connector, it does not provide support. I had to order this kit to use the rail mount for the back of the radio. While I can't speak to the rest of the kit, the back support worked great, it's solid and has long slots to fit

Pros
  • Allows installation of a new aftermarket factory stereo
Cons
  • Communication with Seller

MIGHT work well, but you're on your own to get there.

The documentation for these things is honestly terrible. If you buy this kit (and you have no choice but to buy it or keep the stock radio) you will have to spend some time building it. I made several trips to the hardware store and ended up sawing off the top of the bottom lock to make it work. I bought my own bolt and washer because I'm still not sure where the supplied bolt/washer goes (they definitely didn't fit in one of the holes molded into the supplied parts). It gets three stars…

Pros
  • Easy installation. No special tools are required. Contains step-by-step instructions
Cons
  • I don't remember, but there was something

NO HIGH QUALITY ABS DESIGN!

6/7/2021: I received this item today and one of the small clips was broken. ABS plastic is a thermal plastic, which means it will bend and take on a new shape when heated. If not heated, it will simply bend and then return to its original shape. This mount is made of a plastic that will break if very little pressure is applied to it. For the money it's worth I probably won't go back. That. Instead it will be just another piece of shit filling my trash can. I have real ABS so I'll probably make…
