Scosche Compatible 1988 97 Lincoln Connector GPS, Finders & Accessories Review

I've been using it for a week now and my only real complaint is that I wish the magnet was a little stronger. Sometimes when I hit a bump the phone detaches from the mount. Partly because the metal plate on my phone is inside the case and not outside, but my previous mount had no issues with this setup. Otherwise it works as advertised.

I'm not sure if I should blame the product on the design or the car manufacturer because they didn't reinforce the vents. In any case, it was a bad buy on my part. It doesn't stay connected to the bars on rough roads. Leaving it on for the duration of your trip, it will pop out of the vents when you remove your phone from the cradle. I had to buy one that sticks to the dash.

I liked the idea of a vent mount that doesn't prevent my phone from blocking airflow through the vent, but in practice the ball joints of this solution weren't stiff enough to support my large phone in position on the street. A slight vibration while driving caused the lever and magnetic head to lose their position, causing the phone to sag under their weight. If you have a large phone or a heavier hard case, this might not give you enough durability.

I needed a mount that would work in a small space and this helped. This is my second Scosche magic mountain and it works great.

Really great idea for a dash mount but you will never use it because the adhesive just won't support the weight of your phone. We cleaned the interior of the vehicle where the mount is to be installed, pressed the adhesive firmly to the surface for over a minute, and waited 24 hours for the adhesive to fully cure. The mount took 30 minutes with the phone on it. before it all fell off, which was a real shame. The part of the magnetic mount that holds the phone also needs to have more surface…
