It's good stuff but not for the purpose I used it.

Bought to make some huaraches. This is good material but not for the purpose I used it for. I'm also a bit expensive. I later found the same thing at a local shoe repair shop for HALF the price!

Beautiful leather sheath

Very good leather and size as described. It's not the highest quality shoulder leather you'll see in really high end sheaths and holsters, but it's a small compromise and a lot easier to work with for the average hobbyist like me. Thickness is about 1/8 inch or a little less, I think about 6 ounces in weight, the perfect size and weight for the hunting knife sheath I wanted with a bit of rest. Large piece of good quality leather

I purchased this leather along with a thinner piece to make custom handlebar grips. I'm not great with leather qualities, but I'd call it a heavy weight, meaning its 1/8 inch thickness is moderately stiff, on the order of a men's belt. The product description lists the uses for which I would like to add handlebar grips. Using a leather punch, I made holes around the edges for the laces (cut from the thinner part I mentioned above) and tied them to the handlebars to replace the existing fraying…
