As a licensed therapist I was interested in Graston's technique but given the research and reasoning I believe Graston based his protocol on the original old gouache. However, tools and training costs are incredibly expensive for Graston. So for now I'll stick with the ancient wisdom of Gua Sha. The reason I rate this set so low is because they have COMPLETELY changed the size and thickness :(((. I bought the same set from the same company and my others are broken gone. Because they are stone and fall sometimes. Now I get this new set and they are even thinner. Much thinner! I have just received my Hana Emi Gua Sha tool set and it immediately looks used or poorly made. Every tool has scuffs, scratches and chips. The sticker is printed on stone in different shades and qualities. Overall these tools don't look as new as they should, whether it's due to poor workmanship or a company that sells used tools I can't tell.

I cannot praise this set enough. I am a physiotherapist and I use a metal instrument for instrumental soft tissue mobilization in the clinic.
