Well made stand with sisal scratching rope wrapped around the top. Good value for money. Cats use it by scratching the underside of the rug and stretching to get to the top sisal rope.

I was looking for a cat scratching post as a Christmas present for our lionesses, but I wanted it to be affordable and durable. It's easy to assemble and both of them can't get enough of it. I have to buy another one so they don't share!

The ball came loose after 2 days with 4 kittens around 8 weeks old. Must wear a more durable possibly stitched leather piece as another buyer sent a photo of it. Not all of us have a piece of leather and a needle/thread that will suffice.

I returned this cat scratching post for a number of reasons. First, it's too narrow and doesn't give my cat enough width to scratch it. Because it's so thin I don't think it would withstand a scratch but I would - I could assemble it because the hole to screw the scraper to the base was so crooked I couldn't get the screw could off. in.

My cat likes the scratching post enough but he is a big guy and he cannot stretch out as much as he would like because the post is a bit shorter. Also, in the few months I've had it, I've had to tighten the screw on the bottom a number of times as it loosened a bit with wear. However, assembly was very easy!

This scratching post looks great at first glance, but it has a serious problem. Within a month or two, the lower half of the carpet-like fabric post begins to tear violently due to claw action. It eventually turns into a fibrous mess of loose strands of cloth that cats can try to bite off and possibly swallow. I would not recommend this product as it can be dangerous for cats.

This is a really good scratching post especially if you start kittens with it. The reason I didn't give him five stars is because he will travel if you have a big cat that can really "fit in". If you put your foot on the corner, it works fine. One of my cats just sniffed it but doesn't use a scratching post and prefers our blankets. My cat loves it.
