Surf Strap Accessory

If you surf fishing and wear a surf strap, this is the essential accessory to secure all the lanyards on offer. Will not rust when washed after use

Pros
  • Decent Performance
Cons
  • Clarity

I use this weight for sous vide. .

This is the weight I use for sous vide. I attached the clips to the weight and then to the bag to further weigh down the items in the bag. doesn `t rust!

Pros
  • Handy
Cons
  • Not the best

Quality product Belt dimensions need some adjustment

Well built, durable, still performs as well in salt water. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because it literally took me half an hour to put my belt on. If the holes were a bit bigger this would definitely be a 5 star product.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Nothing

Not suitable for sous vide; too light

This is a nice piece of metal, but more of a light weight paperweight than something you could use with a sous vide machine. Sous vide requires a large counterweight to balance the water vapor that is produced. You need 10 of these to weigh a bag of 145F cooked chicken.

Pros
  • Best in class
Cons
  • Minor issues

Completely useless for sous vide

Completely useless for sous vide. Very small and very light. You need a few of these to even start rearing your lamb. You could probably use it as a central mount for hanging weights, but just getting a working weight would be much better. Don't buy it for sous vide. For diving? Should be just right!

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Empty

Works great for sous vide!

Many people express a fear of weight. Weight is not as important as buoyancy. The shape of these pieces makes them perfect for sous vide. They have no problem holding 1 pound steaks or burgers. I use 4 to easily hold 4 pounds of ground lamb. That's magic. No, they are not difficult at all. But their shape makes them perfect for holding things underwater.

Pros
  • great product
Cons
  • everything is fine

This scuba accessory has been repurposed as a sous vide cooking weight. These stainless steel pieces provide enough weight to hold sous vide vacuum bags, especially if you have more than one of these weights and use them to hold the stainless steel screen under water. Stainless steel is rust resistant: other weights will oxidize quickly in a sous vide hot water bath. They also work like a paperweight and can be used as a talking point around the office, especially if you're diving.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Not exactly what they sold me on YouTube despite the direct link

So to be honest I'm not a diver. The only reason I bought this was because I'm new to sous vide and the Sous Vide Everything YouTube channel recommended it as "weighted" to keep the meat from floating in the tub. NOT RIGHT. It's very easy. It's pretty obvious that the only weight for it came from the process of its manufacture, nothing more. It's a good quality metal and I'm pretty sure it will actually get the job done for people who buy it for its intended purpose, but on the pretext that I…

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • No performance
