Beautiful replacement snorkel

Works great as a replacement snorkel for sea diving. While not a dry snorkel, it still performs as expected and folds up nicely to fit in a BC pocket. It's much easier to carry around than a regular snorkel that's attached to a mask and constantly gets in the way.

so this works great. I wouldn't use it if that was the sole purpose.

The snorkel is twisted but not so weak that it bends while swimming so it works great. I wouldn't use it if it was only to be used for diving, but as a dive instructor who rarely uses it and just has to have it. That works great.

Great base tube. No complex mechanisms are required.

I've never liked the fancy flush valves or water lock mechanisms that have lots of pipes. I know how to clean a pipe. This one is simple, inexpensive, and fits well on my mask, head, and mouth. I feel good in my mouth. He seems indestructible. The little porter is weird. I don't know how to use it, I don't need it and I don't expect to use it.

Good in a pinch - watersports

I don't really like snorkels and only use them when circumstances dictate. It works well for such situations. It fits in my BCD bag or just sits in my gear bag in case I'm doing dives that require long jumps from the surface. This would be fine as a main pipe, but you should use straight pipe rather than "dry" pipe. The mouthpiece is quite light, but not so much that I succumb. It is easy to roll up and put back into the holder.

Good roller snorkel

Ideal for scuba divers who find it awkward to wear the traditional snorkel (attached to the mask strap). I rarely use a snorkel when diving and find a roller snorkel to be a convenient way to wear a rarely used snorkel. I attach the coiled tubing to my BCD. The tube is rigid enough to support itself during use. The only thing that bothers me is the clip that attaches it to the BC. It looks a little flimsy and may accidentally come off.

Meets all requirements, does what it should!

Meets the requirement for all instructors to wear a snorkel (not essential) while taking up minimal valuable space and being unobtrusive. It works great if you apply it to the mask (which takes a little work). If they could find a better mounting system that still takes up very little space that would definitely be 5 stars. Putting the mask on is really frustrating, but I have it more as an "emergency backup" so it doesn't really turn on and off very often.

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Damaged
