Love this clay, good for ceramics and pottery

I love Sculpey III, it's so easy to work with. It softens very easily and is very suitable for making small animals. It doesn't dry until you heat it up, I use a heat gun to dry small items and this works better than cooking them in the oven which can cause them to crack.

Pros
  • Ceramics and pottery
Cons
  • Quick Start Guide

Not Quite GOLD for Clay and Dough

I love Scupley but won't be buying it again. I was expecting a really stunning gold color. Fur, this is the main golden color. I made a small colored clay crown right out of the box. It was boring. I had to add my very expensive little gold glitter to make it work as planned. This gold jewelry is much more expensive than the beige sculpt and lacquer.

Pros
  • Crafts and Sewing
Cons
  • Big and Bulky

Pretty neat stuff. on pottery and ceramics

A pretty nice material. I used this to recreate simulated "keyholes" on some of the missing dresser drawers. I made a plaster mold out of one of the remaining ones, worked the sculpi clay until it was soft enough and then pressed it into the plaster mould. Then I took it out of the mold, cut off the excess and followed the instructions (bake in the oven at 275 degrees for 15 minutes). Then I painted them (I also painted the old hardware to match) and installed them. You seriously can't tell…

Pros
  • Clay
Cons
  • Discontinued model
