A perfectly appropriate tool for its type. Agate isn't exactly smooth so you'll have to find the right side to polish what you're working on, but it works great. From the looks of it, each one will be slightly different, so it's not a precision-made device, but rather one that's securely attached to the handle and doesn't move when in use. Neat tool. would recommend.
