Sea Dog 502155 1 Lower Unit Deluxe Review

The tip does not pivot as 1 person who answered my question about it claimed. Although the price was good. But I gave it back to the more expensive Slippery Pete. I don't mind paying more for the features I want.

The pump works very well for filling the lower parts. The only feature I would like is another nut on the part that actually screws into the bottom block so you don't have to physically rotate the entire pump along with the oil bottle when you remove it after the bottom block is full is. It's manageable, but this added feature will make it a lot easier.

Adapter tip doesn't swivel... NOT as described in the review I read about this product that it swivels so I bought this pump. damn thing inside and out...it was a bit more messy removing the adapter. Used this pump to add 75-90 to a Volvo DPS transmission.

This product works as advertised except it cannot be used to fill a Volvo Penta DP output gear using Volvo's preferred method. According to the Volvo Penta user manual, oil must be pumped into the output gear through the drain plug behind the propellers. The adapters provided with this product will not fit. This pump was delivered very quickly and arrived a few days before it was enthusiastic. Really good quality pump, way better than any I've ever used before. Now for the bad, the details and picture clearly state that it comes with an 8mm adapter, but it was NOT included. Also, I do NOT have a threaded cap as in the picture but isn't listed in the details so maybe wasn't there but I only got a 3/8 threaded pump anyway and nothing else.
