This product works as advertised except it cannot be used to fill a Volvo Penta DP output gear using Volvo's preferred method. According to the Volvo Penta user manual, oil must be pumped into the output gear through the drain plug behind the propellers. The adapters provided with this product will not fit. I used an alternate method and pumped oil through the filler plug located under the back cover. The adapter worked at this point. I plan to check the oil level and top up if necessary after running the outboard gear for a few minutes.
