Discus Buffer is the best way to soften tap water quickly and inexpensively. Add some neutral regulator for any pH issues and Prime for your fish and tap water is instantly ready for my fish/plant tanks. My aquarium is 4 years old. I keep a fish in it. betta My water test says no problem. It contains few living plants. I have an entire house water filtration system. RO and DM water.
