Works in minutes and is very accurate!

Works great! Proper reading in minutes. Verified by chemical test to ensure original accuracy and it was accurate. Will be saved in all my tanks!

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons

Waste of money - aquarium water treatment

I tried this item twice and both times it didn't work on the first reading. I had a major change in one of my tanks and it didn't alert me to the change or change its gauge in any way. Don't hesitate to spend money.

Pros
  • Easy install
Cons
  • Requires outlet

Does not work with aquarium water treatment

I generally like Seachem products, use a lot of them and have always been very satisfied. However, they missed the ball here. The readings on this device never match the readings on the test strips, and when I lower or raise the PH, the readings on this device never change.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Empty

Best use of the money

Wish I saw the 1 star rating first. is that so. It's garbage. received 2. the sensor redeemed. "Extra sensor" is also not included. The colors are too close together to even tell what your actual PH level is. buy a digital counter for 15; best use of money.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Crumpled

Useless. Buy a digital counter instead

Don't put your fish's life at risk. After just a few weeks the color no longer matched a color on the wheel. Using a digital pH meter my water fluctuated between 7.0-7.7 and yet this element did not register properly at first and soon turned a brownish yellow-orange.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Only available in black

Decorative but otherwise useless

I've been using this product for six weeks and it doesn't work. No gradual rise in pH was seen that almost killed any of my discus. It initially worked but then became inactive with a permanent brown-yellow color. I pulled it out and tried soaking it in a 1:1 mixture of vinegar and water and then tested it in my tap water, which has a pH of around 7.6 with no change.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Will not work with fish and aquatic animals

I have a ph sticker and an ammonia sticker. Both do not change color. My wife sells hobby fish, roosters, roosters, etc. We have 30 tanks and have used them in tanks that we know from water testing have poor pH and ammonia and none of them have changed at all. Stay away from those in my opinion. not only because they don't work, but also because you can make them think everything is fine in the aquarium while your fish are suffering and you think everything is fine.

Cons

Don't trust the results you get

Bought for each of my two aquariums which have different pH levels depending on the chemicals I use. The instructions say it takes 30 minutes but after 2 days in the tanks I was told the two tanks were identical. So I took one and put it in a small glass of water with some baking soda - it should have registered a high pH. But if you look at the pictures, this product barely reads 7.0. Two different chemical tests tell me the water is well over 7.6. (The API shouldn't read above this, but the…

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not all suitable
