Very good mouthpiece

I've been using Seacure mouthpieces since they introduced them. I have a very small mouth and sensitive teeth, so regular mouthpieces are very uncomfortable for me. I can trim off the excess (the included instructions detail how to do this) and if it fits my teeth I don't have to pinch it to keep it in my mouth. I'm not sure why some people have trouble shaping them, if you follow the instructions to the letter you won't have any trouble.

You must follow the instructions to form it. There are 2 ways to do this

We have just returned from a 2 week trip to Fiji. I love that you don't have to bite into it to keep it in place. I didn't bite my last one but it was smaller so it could move a bit more. I had no problems before, but this is an improvement. It's firmer than the stock rubber mouthpiece that most regulators come with, but I've had no problems with it. My wife says this is the best upgrade she has ever had. No more sore jaw muscles

COMFORTABLE mouthpiece

Be sure to read AND FOLLOW the instructions (I read them 3 times). I was a little concerned about not burning my mouth after dunking myself in boiling water. But then again, as long as you follow the instructions and don't dunk the mouthpiece for more than 15 seconds, you don't risk burning your gums. I actually had to do it a second time (which isn't hard) because I didn't realize the first time the mouthpiece was twisted in my mouth. You definitely have to look in the mirror to get it right…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design

The instructor says: I can't dive without it!

As a dive instructor, these are the accessories I most often recommend to divers. They come in different colors so you can tell your orientation from someone else's very quickly. they are easy to model and shape and fit perfectly; They greatly reduce jaw fatigue because instead of squeezing the register's bitewings together, your teeth just sit in their perfectly formed little pockets! I will never dive without them :)

You'll hate the long wait

In addition to significantly reducing jaw fatigue and pain (which makes this mouthpiece worth every penny in itself), this mouthpiece has made a tremendous contribution to equalizing pressure. For those of you like me who have to move your jaw or clench/swallow to call, this will make a world of difference. I sculpted twice, first for my bite and then to finish shaping the gumline with my fingertips. I found that bite guards were not needed during the process. Fitting was easy, shaping was…

Hmmm seems to shrink after cooling

I've dipped the thing 3 times now it's so thin around my back molars it's translucent. It feels good, I check it's in place, I'm comfortable for a few seconds, and then I take it out of my mouth. I put it back in 20 minutes and it feels like it shrunk. I have to bite so that he becomes "fit" again. It's like the arch is too tight and won't widen to fit mine. Not happy, not sure if they will take it back. UPDATE: 7/26/19 Well the fourth time was a charm but I had to keep it in my mouth for a…

Reduces fatigue but may not be the best choice for frequent air exchanges.

I've been doing this for almost two years now. This was my first attempt at a custom fit so it took me two tries to get the fit right. It fits my mouth a little better than a standard mouthpiece so my jaw is noticeably less tired even after 1-2 hours of diving. It's definitely more than I expected. The material is harder than the more expensive soft silicone. There are two downsides that I haven't considered: I'm a technical diver and have found that the material becomes rock hard in cold…
