Custom thread

Adapter and filter included. Bought 2 pumps a DOA. Non-standard threads. If you don't want to hook up with the included spikes, be prepared to be rigged by a jury. The threading is almost, but not quite, 1/2" standard pipe threads. I've spent a lot of time and fuel trying to find adapters and fittings that work. I wish I'd returned them both on day one. The one that worked Pump is strong and amazingly quiet.

Works as it should on fresh water systems

I'll have to come back to this pump in about 6 months to give an accurate review but it looks like a very good quality pump from installation. The pump comes with a rubber mount to reduce noise. The pump also comes with a strainer to filter the water coming out of the van tank (that's a BIG idea). I relocated my pump and installed it with 3ft Camco flexible hoses to get the pump off the hard line and keep the noise down. As I said, after a good use of the camping, I will have to come back.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Expensive

My husband and I live permanently in a converted Sprinter van and installed this pump. It broke in less than two months. My husband called for a return/refund and the CS rep said all they could do was repair/replace. The CS rep explained that the repair would take about 2 weeks and we would have to pay them shipping (about a third of the cost of the entire pump). Needless to say we needed a faster solution so we ordered a SHURFLO pump and it worked great. For an additional $15, I definitely…

Failure after 1 month

2 weeks in the city the sound changed and the water did not pump. I went through the user manual and went through the troubleshooting checklist. There were a few that I don't know how to check, for example: a blown pump diaphragm. I called Seaflo and left a message unanswered so I left a pending message. I've been watching videos on YouTube and couldn't find any information other than a video of a guy with an 18 second clip of the exact same problem I'm having and he's asking how to fix it and…
