Description of Seagate IronWolf 4TB HDD ST4000VN008
- Quiet, almost cold, good speed
- Have not found
- Works stably cold trouble-free reliable speed is quite satisfied with reading 166mb / s writing 165mb / s
- They are not here.
- - CMR technology - quiet
- - I haven't found it yet, if it breaks I'll unsubscribe
- The only thing that can be noted as positive is the work of technical support. They try to help, they go forward.
- The disk itself, which is positioned as a server or for NAS, already after 200 hours of operation had 8 reassigned sectors. Plus constantly clanging sounds (heads?) I don't know. This is incredibly annoying.
- Pretty smart, large volume, 3 year warranty.
- While the flight is normal. If it breaks, I will add a review.
- CMR. Price, relative to the main competitor WD Red.
- Noisier than I expected - according to the performance characteristics, the ST4000VN008 (4 TB) model is only slightly noisier than its counterpart ST2022VN004 (2 TB), but in real life the noise level is noticeably different.
- Work warranty period
- Both drives died a month after the end of the warranty period (3 years 2 months)
- quiet, cold. However, I did not compare with modern analogues.
- until they show up
- Works as described in terms of speed and dimensions.
- After a couple of months, it began to click (it looks like the head when it gets into the park or through a place passes something that clicks there every 1-5 minutes, I hope it will break during the warranty). This clang is loud, annoying, since I rarely use it for a dump and I mostly have it in sleep mode. Noisy, not suitable for home quiet PCs. It creates a hum, compared to the old Seagate 7200 disk, it is noisier with a constant hum like in an airplane. The noise is stronger than from the fans (I have large quiet fans). It gives small vibrations (screwed to the case through rubber inserts), again I compare it with the old 7200 disk, they are not strong but stronger than the old disk.
- Quiet
- - NOT tiled entry; - excellent speed; - very quiet; - work well in an array.
