The first hard drive worked for about a minute, received a replacement, one was normal, checked for a month, went to use and now it doesn't recognize it and I can't return it. Was suspicious when it arrived in a plain box wrapped in bubble wrap rather than retail packaging. It is clear that this was a wholesale purchase and repackaging.

These drives are listed as OEM parts on the Seagate website and are not covered by the manufacturer warranty. That means after 6 months if your drive fails like mine did you won't be able to replace it. Seagate says they're unlucky and Revain hasn't responded to me on this. In other words, you're on your own.

this was a great replacement for my 500gb ps4 hard drive. Installation was easy after watching a video on YouTube. i'm still confused I backed up all my save data, swapped out the hard drive and immediately started downloading all my games, then I installed my save data and they deleted all my downloads, so I had to install the save data first and then download my games. Lesson learned but overall I'm very happy with all the extra space I have now

I will almost certainly be returning these 3 discs. All my projects will be late. I really miss the shops where at least some had to look you in the eye and lie to you. New internal drives are usually not in a stationary zip-lock package, they are already in the existing NTFS format, GPT level. Or they ask you to check the hard drive. These did. I bought a refurbished model and it stalled on the second use. It was from another provider. This new block seems to have the same problem but is not blocked yet. I don't suggest using this in a USB 3 case overheating when transferring large files, usually in just a few minutes each time.
