300 Miles Flats (Tube Use)

I removed the valve cores from my Schwalbe tubes, injected just over 2 ounces each and I've flattened glass and goat heads through streets and gravel for over 300 miles. There were 7 homes in the previous 200 miles of goat heads, broken glass and metal shavings from construction sites. So far, so good!

Pros
  • Looking Good
Cons
  • Requires Outlet

Amazing for Rene Herse tires

Firstly I use an injector that goes through (not in) the valve and I've had no trouble injecting the sealant. The suggestion not to shake the bottle but to gently rotate it is helpful. This product cannot seal Rene Herse tires (thin resilient sidewalls notorious for leaks) with old sidewall leaks. Also picked up a bacon fork without incident. No dirtier than other sealants and ideal for flexible (leaky sidewall) tires.

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • long delivery time

There must be a warning sign!

I'm not looking for a sealant that can seal Stan's injector as well as the tubeless valve stem. That's what this product did, causing a lot of extra work and clutter. Panaracer advises that the product should be poured into the tire and not injected through the valve stem as with all other products. The valve stem was so clogged that a small drill was needed to remove the plug. After pouring the sealant and dropping the bead, you can see in the attached photo what happened when inflating theโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Quality Build
Cons
  • New competitors appeared

Dirty, poorly designed bottle, closes well

I bought this to seal some Rene Herse ultralight tires that were leaking through the sidewalls. I knew before I bought it that it couldn't be installed through the valve stem like other brands. But the installation turned out to be much worse than I could have imagined. First, the bottle arrived with too much liquid and even after shaking the bottle for several minutes, I couldn't mix the contents. I ended up throwing something in the trash to make room. When I tried to inject sealant into theโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Terrible sealant for use in dry climates or with tire inserts

This sealant lasted literally 2 weeks on my Colorado gravel bike. It dried quickly and no longer sealed the tire, so I kept adding more and more until I started worrying about how much sealant was actually in the tire. I figured it might be dripping into the rim under the tape or something, but no, it just dried out and clogged the inside. In addition to the above, I made the mistake of using Panaracer's "Seal Smartโ€ tubeless tire sealant with (fortunately only 1 of them) a Vittoria Air-Linerโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Very expensive

Excellent sealing properties.

This stuff works way better than Stan's when it's in the tire. It has solved all of my chronic slow leak problems and recently proved surprisingly effective on a major flat tire. The only downside I found was tire hitting. It's so viscous you can't even use the conical spout that comes with the bottle. Forget about pushing it through the cored valve stem! The easiest way is to hang the wheel with the tire set at 80-90% (hole down), then remove the conical nose and pour a measured amount ofโ€ฆ

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Something's Wrong

Cannot insert through valve stem

I really liked this new sealant. I have been very satisfied with my Panaracer tires for many years. When I heard they made a sealant that was advertised to work great on their tires, I decided to give it a try. The natural walnut shell used here, rather than the plastic gloss found on competing products, was a key selling point. Unfortunately, they are also the reason why the product is not suitable for me. In short, the walnut shell particles prevent the sealant from penetrating through theโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • Faulty
