Replaced non-original OMC filter.

NAPA couldn't compete with my OMC mount aftermarket filter. A risk taken. It's wearable. It would be nice if such articles were listed with a detailed cross reference table.

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Expensive

Skip the SeaSense brand!

Like all the others, this filter has a rubber O-ring. The difference lies in low-quality rubber, which swells when in contact with gasoline. Mine swelled and fell off after watering a few gallons (first day of use!). With other brands, I have been able to remove and drain all of the water that has collected. Not possible with this brand as the rubber ring falls off and has swollen too much to fit in the right place! Don't waste our money!

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • The list is getting long.

Attention please do not buy

I have been struggling with air problems in my boat for two years. I have now replaced everything between the tank and the carburettor including a new filter from this brand. I eventually found that the rubber ring on this filter swelled and popped out of the groove and could not be put back into the groove once the filter was removed. I was so unlucky to buy the same filter last year and that's why every boat trip was a nightmare. Today I was stuck on the water for several hours trying to…

Pros
  • It's ok!
Cons
  • Some problems
