After watching a video on YouTube to build confidence Installed on a Sea Nymph 92 03 90hp no problem. The boat is like a new car! Now what do I do with the old elastic cable I was holding onto the steering wheel?

I replaced my old steering on my 1989 Lund Tyee 1775 (in excellent condition). Engine - Yamaha 115 SHO VMAX 2017 version. Doesn't matter. The old steering was pretty dangerous, with a lot of play and sloppiness. It's all gone now, which is great, the non-feedback steering is a breeze. You lose the feeling of being directly connected to the engine. But I think it's worth it.

We have a new boat! Our boat had poor torque management - turn left or right at high speed and the boat seemed about to tip over. I had to squeeze the steering wheel very hard to keep the boat from turning too tight. The addition of a new NFB cable and helm gave us a new boat feel. It's much easier to control and I can be sure it'll stay on course if I take my hand away for a moment.

Twenty five years ago Ebbtide used a Teleflex on my boat. This made installation easy. The handlebar holes matched, but the only tricky part was inserting the steering knuckle into the steering column. It's definitely a job for two. You will need help to attach it to the steering wheel. One person lies under the dashboard and holds it while the other inserts the screw.
