extra warmth - diving and snorkeling

I bought these after a trip to the water park where my kids were complaining about the cold. These costumes added a bit of warmth to help the kids have a better time. A 4 star rating is that the legs are a bit loose so they don't fit as well as they could to keep them as warm as possible, but it's a lot better than just wearing a swimsuit. Easy to turn on and off for potty training. :)

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Not sure

Buy one size bigger! on wetsuits

This item definitely runs small. My son is 45 pounds and 48 inches tall and the size chart (shown in the product photos) says he should fit 6/6x. When he tried it on, he stuck his legs in, and then we couldn't put it on his shoulders. But when we got the size 7/8 it fits him perfectly. He has autism with sensory issues, and he thinks it's convenient, and now he's going to swim in a 'cold' pool. It's great when you find the right size!

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Nice suit for extra warmth

I bought 6/6x for my almost 6 year old. The legs are a little wide, but the length is right. She's taller for her age group (75%) but I think we can go another season without this costume. The suit keeps her warm in the pool and she loves that it gives her a little more buoyancy in the water. She loves swimming now that she's warm in the pool. A lot of parents in her class have asked me where they can get the costume, so it looks like I'm not the only one who likes it!

  • Easy to read control panel

Nice and feels warm but the seams on the arms caused irritation.

Small but overall quite nice. However, when my daughter tried it on, she found that the hand felt very uncomfortable. Inspecting it from the inside revealed that the seam wasn't finished just below the armpits, leaving a slightly awkward prickly spot where the seam ended abruptly. I tried to take a picture but I'm not sure how well it turned out. Well, for kids who aren't sensitive at all, this wetsuit might work, but not mine :-)

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • Something different

Hip Gaps - Wetsuits

Looks cute but has big hip gaps. We bought this suit for our 6 year old to take to water sports camp. We normally buy wetsuits from our local surf resale store but they are not their size. The suit fitted her perfectly, but it had no cuffs to pull it down her hips. The sleeves are also the material for the leotard. Combined, this meant that the water ran straight into the suit, leaving her cold. She said it was warmer than a bathing suit alone, but it definitely didn't have the warmth we wereโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Good quality for the price

Looks great (5 stars even my son thought it was very cool) but there is a gap in the thigh and my son is very average height. It fits 6x but will outgrow slightly in 1 year (length of torso not width of suit). He's 6 years old, 50% of the income from almost everything and 49 pounds. There is little space in the upper body, but not too much. I just wish there wasn't a hip gap. Definitely helps him warm up before swim class so he's more focused on what the teacher is saying instead of shiveringโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • No

Our 3 year old took swimming lessons indoors but the water was too cold for him. After the first session he said he didn't want to go back and he said the same in the second session when he simply refused to go. Lesson, it would be worth it. The fact is that the cold no longer played a role and he felt very comfortable in the water and did not miss a single lesson. There is also a slight odor similar to the smell of Dri-Fit clothing. Overall, the investment was worth it and I can recommend it.

Pros
  • great product
Cons
  • reliability
