I had to buy a second adapter to power my Lorex 8 cameras. I used an adapter to power 8 cameras, but cameras 3 to 4 took turns losing power, especially at night, probably due to IR. I ordered another power supply and ran 4 cameras on one and the rest of the cameras on the other, no problems now. The only sad thing is that instead of 8 cameras per adapter I doubled the cost, now I have 4 cameras per adapter so 3 stars.

I bought this to replace a failing PSU. After I plugged it in, my cameras had streaks on the image on the monitor. Went back to my old one and the lines are gone. I believe that the power supply should be stronger here or should be upgraded a little inside. The sad thing is I ordered two of these and tried connecting one to four cameras and the second to the other four - still did the same thing. But my old one runs all eight cameras with no queue.?

I've noticed that two of the three 12v adapters we use for our wired CCTV system have failed (again - I've replaced at least two of them before). This time I decided to buy this version that supports 8 cameras hoping that it will last longer (it has a "brick" instead of a transformer at the end of the cable that the 4 types of cameras use). I won't be around to find out if this is true as we are selling the house but appreciate the quick shipping and reasonable price. warm .)
