I thought it wasn't working properly but before I gave up I swapped input and output and it worked great. Not sure how to define input and output, so keep an open mind. But I'm using this to share a keyboard for my home computer and my work laptop. I have another splitter that allows me to use the same 32 inch screen for my home computer and work laptop. Push two switches to go from home to work. Perfect for those of us who work from home.

This is great value for money and definitely a good buy if you have a dual pc setup. I only noticed two things. First, this KVM switch doesn't have a hotkey (some KVM switches allow you to press a combination of keys to switch computers instead of pressing a button on the box). At first it seemed like a nice little device. The USB connectors are a bit tight as other reviews have mentioned, but they loosen up a bit after three or four insertions. At first I thought I had a lemon but turns out you HAVE to have 2 computers hooked up to the switch before it actually works. That wasn't clear in the instructions. After connecting to 2 PCs, I can switch the mouse and keyboard back and forth with the push of a button. Windows recognizes fairy tales in less than a second. Definitely a bargain for the price.
