Ideal for deep carpets

Protects expensive carpets very well from "breaking" furniture. Ideal for beds, chests of drawers, tables and the like. Otherwise stationary furniture. Never used on chairs. The same item I bought from the home center that they no longer wear. Very often when I need an item, no matter how small, I just turn to Revain. It's just easier.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • High price

Stronger than I thought

I was sure it would be a cheap product but they work really well. You can either stick them directly to the bottom of the furniture legs, or stick a small piece of carpet on top first. In any case, they are not too noticeable and really support the weight of the furniture and the people sitting in it.

  • Price
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

You are strong and you work.

I have a 36 x 48 acrylic office chair mat that was designed for linoleum or hardwood floors, so the mat slips every day. I attached a square to each of the 4 corners of the rug and have not moved since! To make sure they are in place I put my weight on them regularly and they hold up great, they are strong! Pack of 8 squares.

Not suitable for coffee tables

Not suitable for tables that are not supported by a wall or are out of the way. Just not impressed, period. I used them on my coffee table which is a very heavy piece of furniture. They were unstoppable! I sat and watched him literally slip off. I also cut my finger on the corner adjusting it, so be careful. You definitely wouldn't want your toe banging on them! Pooh! I really wanted them to work.

Misleading - SoftTouch protective mats.

Warning. Although labeled "Soft Touch," these safety mats are made from 1-inch hard plastic spikes. They look like they could do more damage to carpet than furniture. The product is also listed as "custom" which is not possible. There are 2 4" x 4" carpet protectors that break into (4) 2" squares. These are all custom sizes you receive. Rather than returning them, I decided to keep them until I go to winter in the winter Sierras walked. I can attach these very tough 1" cleats to the soles of my

Too fragile: furniture pads

I have to glue them because when I tried to glue them to other corners without glue, the furniture slipped off every unglued corner. It often broke loose. That means you'll have to decide on the final destination of the furniture, as you probably won't be able to move it after it bites the carpet. You will undoubtedly need to replace them unless you can completely lift the furniture off the floor to move it. They also break if the legs are too small or if you misalign the furniture legs and…
