Our shark is around 5-6 years old and has been used many times. The original hose started tearing at the handle and my husband sealed it with duct tape. ;-) Replacing the handle and hose seemed easy and good to be true. But it fits perfectly, sucks better than before and is very easy to swap out. Bought new filters and installed them right away. Vacuum cleaner works like new again!

Bought to replace the hose for my Shark Rotator, Model: NV502 Works great so far. The handle is slightly lighter than the original handle that came with the vacuum, but you won't notice the difference. just as easy to break.

This vacuum cleaner is worth the money but the hose appears to have a design flaw: it rips and tears just before entering the handle. After several hiatuses and inadequate fixes/repairs, I finally decided to look for a replacement for the entire unit. Worth the money instead of throwing away the whole vacuum and starting over. So far this one is holding up better than the original, but it's only a few months old so time will tell.

I was so concerned when I saw my current vacuum hose had a hole in it. Even though I've had it for 5 years, it still works great. My five year old Shark vacuum broke the hose near the top connection point. Before resigning myself to buying a new vacuum cleaner, I did a quick research to see if a replacement part was available. I found this item quickly. At only $30 this item is a great hose/grip replacement. It took me about 30 seconds to take the old one off and put the new one on. This replacement hose is very easy to replace. In fact, I like this hose a lot more than the one that came with my Shark. It's much more malleable, bending and stretching where it can reach great heights. It's a thinner plastic tube so I think it will puncture easily, but I don't plan on vacuuming sharp objects. It's fairly dense but not as thick as the original. It might not last as long, but it's worth it for the ease of use when the wand is off. For years I struggled with my Sharks wand…
