I was very unsure when I received the first time. On most locks, when a button is pressed, the center lock rotates so that it can be inserted into the slot. This block removes the outer pins at the push of a button, and the center doesn't rotate. It was what I hated at first and it's not what I love. I use these in a retail store to protect laptop displays. It feels strong and the lock seems secure. The numbers have a positive click when rotated. Some combo cables reset too easily, resulting in an accidental reset to an unknown combination. This isn't difficult at all, but impossible without a small flathead screwdriver.
