Creamy and opaque! in pastel colors

A pleasure to use! I have never had a high quality professional oil pastel before. The difference is really amazing for an amateur like me. I do not regret buying this set. But given the high price, I'll use them sparingly. as a finishing touch as they add beautiful textures to the artwork. Shipping and delivery was quick. Properly packed. No damaged sticks. There is also a California cancer warning label and such, I have checked every stick and there are 3 sticks that do not have the ACMI AP…

The highest recommendation.

The most beautiful oil pastels. They glide like nothing else I've ever used, almost drowning in the side with their luxury. Now for the little things: there's not much color gamut per se, and Sennelier offers the usual black and white. Oil pastels to work with these glorious angels. In other words, you really get 10 dazzling colors, with black and white allowing you to control the intensity. At some point you will probably want to buy turpentine to play with: you have a choice of silver…

Sennelier Oil Pastels

This is amazing. It's literally like painting with paint. The colors are incredibly bright and saturated, they apply beautifully (like paint, as I said), and if you take a little time to learn the technique, the finished products will look like paint - in less time and, honestly said, a little more fun. The pigments are also richer than most oil paints I've used, which is a plus. (You really can't get 24 high quality tubes of oil paint for the price of this set.) Overall they are amazing and I…

Luxurious set of oil pastels. You pay for quality, not quantity.

These are the highest quality oil pastels I have ever used. The creaminess and rich pigmentation of the flowers are at a high level. I painted a portrait of my great-grandmother with these oil pastels. The colors are pink skin tones with some reddish-brown undertones. There are also three cool shades of blue, plus a light but soft yellow and some muted blues/purples and browns. The packaging is nice and smells like something fresh from an art store. that you are paying for quality, not…

Oily goodness in a little stick :)

As an artist returning to drawing/painting after 26 years (family, career, etc.) I wanted to indulge in top quality oil pastels. I've been using chalk pastels for about a year and I'm a little scared of oil pastels. I heard they were just "big crayolas". With Sennelier oil pastels, this couldn't be further from the truth. With a slight shading you can easily rub the color into the paper/canvas. They are buttery soft and blend beautifully. I read that you can use turpentine to give them a…
