Great hot clean dynamic mic!

I've used about a dozen vocal mics, both dynamic and condenser, and this is by far my favorite. I have a deeper, darker voice and getting the mic to cut is a problem. It sounds very natural and clear. Nice and hot and doesn't seem prone to feedback. Some of my bandmates bought them too!

Absolutely amazing microphone!

I was one of the many who switched from the SM58 to the e935. Used SM58 for the last 20+ years. This thing is crystal clear and incredibly sensitive. I have a deep voice and it just gives a full, clear sound. Definitely glad I switched. **Update** was done with this mic for the first time tonight. I have never used a mic with such a natural sound as this one! If you have any doubts about this microphone, just buy it. You will not be disappointed!

e935 vs Beta58a = indecisiveness.

Let's start with a direct competitor: Shure Beta58a. This is a mic with excellent range and dynamics, presence, excellent off-axis rejection, and good build quality. However, they are not very beautiful, but it does not matter much. However, for the same price as Beta58a, you can get this. The sound signature on this one looks like they took Beta58a and just cleaned it up a bit. His vocal presence is a little cleaner, the yaw is a little better, the dynamics and presence are spot on. It's…

You can't go wrong with the e935

After 30 years of using the SM58 microphones it's time to try something different. The Sennheiser microphone received high ratings. After receiving it and using it in concert I was amazed at the improved gain, clarity and tone it had over the SM58. However, at higher gains, subtle "pops" would occur when singing certain "P" and "B" words. But it was very forgiving and I only made some adjustments in how I "tuned" the mic (EQ and volume settings on the mixer) and how I "signaled" the mic…

Great quality for mid to high range singers, minimal feedback

I'm a mezzo-soprano singer in a metal band with two guitarists and one bassist who like to play LOUD. I sing with clean vocals and should be heard through all the noise from the boys. This microphone does its job very well. I rarely get feedback on this mic - in fact this mic is way better than most mics in the places we play so I often take it with me and swap it out. Really good sound, very rich. quality, and it picks up high notes well when I need to hit them. I am very happy that I bought…

Shure SM58 and Beta 58A killers!

I've used Shure mics for many years including the classic SM57, SM58 and Beta 58A. This Sennheiser e935b mic wasn't on my radar at all until I saw it for sale (priced up to the new Shure SM58 and cheaper than the Beta 58A). This mic is just amazing. It far outperforms the SM58 and even sounds cleaner and better than the Beta 58A (which I think is a better vocal mic than the SM58). The Sennheiser e935 sounds almost as good as my big Rode condenser mic, but is more focused (unidirectional and…

Research before you buy!

Overall, I really liked this microphone. As a soprano, she conveyed my voice very well. However, what I didn't realize is that you need an interface with the right impedance to get the best sound quality. Impedance indicates how much power the microphone itself is returning to the interface. If the impedance of the microphone is higher than that of the interface, it can override the system and cause feedback. I only found out the day my package was supposed to arrive. So I'd recommend making…

Clarity and versatility

We're a three-piece band. family group. My daughter is 15 years old, she has a beautiful alto, not too powerful. My son, 13 years old, is getting used to his voice change, he has gone from alto to restless baritone. But a lot of power and perfect hearing. As for me, I'm a bass that can go pretty high. We play a variety of songs, from Obladi-Oblada to Fly me to the Moon, from Classic Rock to Classic Jazz. Some we shout, some we whisper. Also, we don't have a microphone designed for one person…
