This shift sensor can detect when the rider changes gear on their eBike and cuts the power to the motor during gear shifting process. The gear sensor acts like a shift lever, so you can shift the bike at full throttle, and you only need to add a little throttle. This will make your BBS02 or BBSHD shift faster, smoother and safer. Gearsensor can be plug and play and can be used with any BBS02 or BBSHD to replace one of your brakes. The installation time is 15 minutes. If you install it with our latest version of BBS02 or BBSHD, the controller has a separate brush connector, so you can use the brush and gear sensor at the same time. If you use this setting, the conversion power delay is much shorter than using an ebrake connector. Just connect it to one of the brush cut-off switches and the gear sensor can be used with all bafang mid-drives.
