I had a split system installed in my service room and the installers used part drain hose and part PVC pipe. This happened because my media room was upstairs and the hose they brought wasn't long enough. Whatever the water from the system was, it kept a backup in my media room. I went online and bought this hose, plugged it into my split system and ran it around the back of my house and it worked great. Definitely recommend.

IT COMES ON MY DECK. WHEN I USED THE CLEAR RUBBER HOSE IT WAS NOT REALLY CUTE ON THE OUTSIDE. SO I AM NOW BUYING THE PROPOSED HOSE AND ITS VERY THIN PLASTIC HOSE. IT SWEET LIKE CRAZY AND NOW I CONSTANTLY HAVE DROPS OF WATER ON THE TOP FLOOR LIKE BEFORE. I CAN GO BACK TO THE RUBBER HOSE.

The old condensate hose that connected to my mini split out through the outer wall had to make a sharp 90 degree turn inside out through the make a hole in the wall. This sharp bend caused the old pipe to contract at the point of the bend or bend (similar to a kink in a garden hose). This prevented water from leaking out through the pipe.
