Made in USA Excellent Quality

Excellent Quality and Balance. Made in the USA. I am a beginner electrician and use this hammer quite often. The longer neck(?) is very useful if you are an electrician then you will know why. That's pretty much what sets this hammer apart from a regular hammer and goes a long way when you need a little more reach. If I lose this hammer I will buy it again in a heartbeat. I don't think I will ever use any other hammer for electrical work.

Pros
  • Model Number: VAUE18F
Cons
  • Crumpled Packaging

Big hammer with special claw.

I have an early Vaughan electrician's hammer that has been in my bag for 18 years. However, I made a custom change. I sharpened one of the tips of the claws to give more room to drive nail heads onto nails on the crates when the tubs are too close to the crate. A slightly curved claw can hit the nail heads in an arcing motion. Try it. This takes some practice. Also let the framer (nail killer) try to drive 16. He'll have a hard time with an elongated neck. It's pretty funny.

Pros
  • Country of Origin: USA
Cons
  • Doubtful Purchase for Elderly

Vaughan SEPTLS770E18F Straight Electrician's Hammer

I bought this Vaughan SEPTLS770E18F Electrician's Hammer about six months ago to replace my old small electrician's hammer which I have used for many years. I really like this Vaughan and have been using it every day since I've had it. One thing I particularly like is that the overall length is about an inch shorter than the Klein Hammer so it fits better in my 5 gallon tool bucket and actually fits between the 16" on the center beam and the cleats. t. I find this gives me a little more…

Pros
  • Non-Slip Handle
Cons
  • Doubt
