Optimized Serfas Men's Dual Density Bicycle Saddle Review

This is a great seat. I replaced the seat on my Trek DS and it changed the world. I rode 9-10 miles for the first time and had no pain in the saddle. The seat wasn't too big but gave my bike a nice sporty look. I would recommend this chair to anyone who wants to look good and feel good.

I used this in place of the seat that came with my Sunny exercise bike. The stock bike seat was very uncomfortable. This seat has gel padding but is far inferior to the seats I have used at the gym. Butt hurts after 15 minutes! I use this with a pillow underneath now which helps a little but not enough.

Overall this is a comfortable and quality saddle. Still in good condition after 2 years. I've been driving a lot farther lately. After 1.5 hours, the sides start to sag, leaving you on your goo at the 2 o'clock mark. It's a shame, because that's completely normal on shorter, more intense routes. I'm only 155 pounds. So just the plastic gets hot and tired after a certain number of hits?

Much more comfortable than the stock seat on my mountain bike. (Trek X-Caliber 8) We rode 2 hours this morning and NO PAIN! (I only lasted about 1 hour with the old factory seat and it will be at least 2 days before I want to ride again) With this seat I am ready to go again this afternoon. I love this saddle. Please do yourself a favor - if your bike is uncomfortable, try this seat before you stop riding or sell your bike. It was the best upgrade I have ever put on a motorcycle.

This is my third Serfas saddle. They typically cover around 20,000 miles. I have tried many other saddles and saddlebags but chose this one because it is comfortable. It weighs a pound, which is crazy for elite riders. I'd say I'm in the 5%, not the 1%, and that's my ass. I hope Serfas will continue to offer this saddle for years to come. Don't fall in love with "Gel". Like foam, it compresses once and remains compressible until you remove your ass. However, this is the best saddle I have found

When my heavily ridden Trek 820 mountain bike broke its steel saddle rail circa 1998, I bought a replacement Serfas saddle from a local bike shop: quality, comfort and cost. I tried to be gentle with the Serfas saddle while pedaling cross-country (breaking a composite pedal in the process), but after two years the Serfas steel saddle rails broke. I bought a replacement Serfas saddle from Revain.com: price, quality and comfort. A set of metric allen keys is required for installation.

This bike saddle had very little padding on the front end - no more than 1/16 inch at the top and about 1/8 inch at the next four inches - very strange for a soft saddle. Especially for those of us with road bikes who lean forward in the saddle. This part of the saddle can have many uses. I'm actually buying a new saddle because this part has worn out on my current saddle. This particular Serfas saddle is for people who sit upright and put most of their weight on the back of the saddle.
