Excellent quality spool. I used to order the Singer brand as well, they are even better than the Singer brand. I love metal over plastic - the plastic that came with the Singer machine got stuck on the spool stand one day and I couldn't get any help from Singer as service levels went down due to COVID-19. I then found out on Google that this was because the filament was too tight and the plastic spool was changing shape.

I bought a small pack first to make sure they would fit my Singer quilter machine. They do. Also received promptly. Okay I bought these to replace the plastic I was using. The metal spools in my bobbin case are much better than the plastic spools. No more noise, knocks or breaks (with filament residue). The plastic ones broke because the plastic allowed the full wrap to press on the ends. I had loose ends, and before they did, issues with my car were a nuance. I had no problems after switching…

After several unsuccessful attempts I found that most Class 15 metal spools are quite poorly made, with very tight tolerances and very fine notches. These factors are totally unacceptable, at least for our Morse 4300, and we have found that only about 8 out of 100 are usable, and that's only if you only put the spool in the winder in one direction.
