This is a simple solution for a complex problem. Helping a big, heavy old dog get in and out of a car is difficult. If their front legs can reach in the car, you can boost their back legs up with this sling. Eventually it won't be enough, but for the time being, it works.

I bought this as a gift for my 13 year old friend Fergus MacHowl the Airedale, who has a lot of trouble with his hips. On those days when he's unsteady, I use it to help him get up and go outside. Our large 12 year old labradoodle geriatric onset laryngeal paralysis and polyneuropathy (GOLPP) and he is losing the use of his hind legs. The hind leg muscles are getting weaker and weaker. This simple "support harness" (from SGT KNOTS) has already proven itself very useful. I highly recommend it. There are very many other gadgets/straps/buckles/handles that are too complicated and uncomfortable. Hopefully, we'll be using SG KNOTS "support hardness" for a long time.

I have used this for several months now on an 11 year old Mastiff to help give him stability going down stairs. He is a big boy but the sling has enough adjustment to get it to fit him. It has made both are lives easier as it gets used a couple times a day.

When I looked at the reviews of this product before purchasing it, there was some discussion that it might be too small for a large dog. Trust me, the strap handles expand sufficiently to put even a small horse into a car. Accordingly it works great on our 105 pound dog. It's really lessened the angst in getting him into our SUV.

This is a soft and quality product. We bought this for our 80 lb Great Pyrenees dog with two torn torn acl's so we could help her walk. The shortest the handles are works for me and I'm 5' 8". The sling works for very short walks but I personally cannot support this much weight with only one side of my body for longer walks.

This Pet Sling has been a life saver. Our Weimaraner has steadily been losing strength in her back legs. We needed something to help our 75 lb lab who is having mobility issues during cancer treatment and who is unwilling to slow down from her usual lab activity. The harness is nice and soft and makes it easier to give her a little boost when she has to go up one or two stairs. I purchased this for my elderly dog who needs help walking sometimes. Used it today as she was having trouble walking, worked like a dream was able to support her and allow her to walk without falling. Great product and is much more comfortable than some of the other product similar to this one. It is soft and forms to her body unlike others that are more rigid. I had actually ordered this product before but my dog refused to work with me so I sent it back. This time she liked it better. I liked the nice thickness of the sheepskin material -makes it very comfortable for my large golden retriever. We have not had to use it yet but I wanted it here as she had a day a week ago that she could not get her hind legs under her on a slippery wooden floor. the day is coming and I think this will work perfectly

This is a perfect product if you have an old dog with feeble back legs, or one who is recuperating from leg or joint surgery. I have only used it for stairs so don't know how it works for walking across a surface. It is fast and easy to put around the belly and the padding is very soft, nothing that can chafe.

Definitely is exactly what it says it is. A great well made support for your dog. Having said that if your dog is a male, the support goes on his belly and will get sprayed every time he takes a pee, in the other hand if your dog is a female the support is absolutely perfect for them.RS

This is a fine product, however I am 5'9" and my dog weights 85 lbs. I wish the handles were longer so I do not have to bend over when lifting her. I am afraid I will hurt my back.

My dog loves this (could be that it was warm and fluffy) and it made it very easy to lift her during a time when she could not walk.She is 85lbs and it was strong enough to hold her weight without me thinking it was going to break.The only note I have is that if she was heading downstairs it slipped a little if you left it loose rather than gripping the sling tightly.Loved it and for the price it can’t be beaten.
