This mug is beautiful and perfect for my needs. I'm a big tea drinker but I've found that if you drink it from a plastic cup it tastes like plastic and if you drink it from a stainless steel cup it tastes metallic. The ceramic is perfect - my tea tastes like tea. The lid closes well although I have seen the seal deteriorate over time as with any similar plastic. So far, so good! I really wanted a ceramic mug after getting tired of drinking traditional stainless steel. While it may not be as durable or leak proof, I really like it. It is beautifully gift wrapped, boxed and then shipped in an Amazon box to ensure it arrives safe and sound. Just enjoyed my first cup of coffee and the lid/cap seems to be of pretty good quality. First of all I appreciated the beauty of these mugs - there are so many different beautiful designs, colors and color combinations of mugs to choose from!
