Disappointing. The second round was played with these rods and I got the dart bounced off the board and the rod broke right at the base of the collar. The only saving grace here is that they come in a set of 4, but I wasn't expecting a shaft to be so fragile at this price point.

If you're buying expensive $10 designer flights, you'd be better off with this design. Appropriate flight required. They just have a simple male/female design that has a "click" when you press on the fly. You can then just pull it hard enough and it will pop off immediately. This prevents damage to the fletching and shaft by another arrow.

The durability that the word "carbon" speaks for stands up to scrutiny. They break about as often as non-carbon shafts. The only positive is that my breaks were not flight related so my flights could still be saved. In general, the fact that they're nearly three times larger than standard shapely spans makes it seem like they're not worth the extra cost.
