Great for outdoor cellular antennas

So I used this to install an outdoor cellular signal booster antenna on my caravan. Went like clockwork. I can raise and lower the antenna in any situation, so this is exactly what I needed.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • I'll be silent

Raise and lower as you like.

We used it for the weBoost antenna in our motorhome. We keep it upright while riding with a short mast, or add a section when parked and can put it down while riding with the boost off. Good construction and stainless steel screws.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons

Nice foldable antenna base

Got this base to use with my Shakespeare 5241-R antenna. It fits well and allows me to fold down the antenna when not in use. Be careful when threading the antenna into the base as the antenna cable will pass through and out of the base. You want to rotate the antenna wire as you thread the antenna into the base. Some WD40 helps.

Pros
  • Good value for money
Cons
  • Reliability

I've installed them on several boats over the past 10 years

They withstand a lot of rough handling and I've never had a single failure or even a slip when hitting white water. chrome plated (I think) and there were rust spots on the plastic, stainless steel should have been used. But for the price, just replace them every 5 or 6 years if rust bothers you.

Pros
  • Permanent test results
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Have never used nylon.

I have previously used this company's stainless steel fasteners but I was advised not to install stainless steel fasteners on my new aluminum boat as I was concerned about a galvanic reaction between the two metals. This nylon bracket holds a 4 foot VHF antenna so I feel comfortable using this bracket for this application. The boat will be used on the Great Lakes so time will tell how well the rig performs.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Quality

Does the job for sea antennas

No actual instructions were included so I'm not sure I tightened the adjustable screw properly. It feels loose until the locking knob is low enough to touch the mounting surface, but I can't tighten it any further. Otherwise it looks like a durable product. I'm using it on a van to install a cellular antenna that's about 2 feet long and holds that weight well. I was concerned about the small footprint of this mount, so instead of mounting it directly on the roof, I mounted it on a large 1"…

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Requires socket
