My Webasto Thermotop Evo 4 does not have enough power, as soon as it switches from low duty cycle to high duty cycle it switches off. For $20 it's well built and quiet.

The pump worked fine for a month from Thanksgiving to Christmas before I got the E-8 and eventually not even white smoke. All rows double checked. No pressure. My last sealed one broke too quickly. Switch to the type with nuts on both ends to see if the Eberspacher type design works better.

Most diesel heating pumps are very noisy, you can hear them through the layers of steel and insulation. ticked all night. This pump was so quiet I had to put my hand on it to make sure it was working at all. whisper softly. Will be buying more for parts and recommending to all my friends in the van life.

This is the second unit I have bought. The first was ok and works fine. I bought this as a second belay device as reliability is questionable and I want to repair it in the field. The second block smelled like diesel fuel when I opened the package. When I removed the black nipple plugs. a few drops of diesel fuel leaked out. The device was used. I can't trust him for this reason and have sent it back for a refund.

Came with the plastic already opened and the whole pump is dirty. It has either been improperly stored and opened or has already been used. I've had 3 of these pumps in a year and none of them have turned out this way. I found a copy of this pump here at Revain for $7 and it was clean and sealed and still working. I thought it would be a good idea to spend more for a reliable backup, but I'm not sure if it will gain trust any more.

I used this on a brand new Chinese diesel heater because the pump that came with it and the pump from my previous heater stopped working. My previous heater was connected to the solar fuse box and worked perfectly. Does my new one have a wire to the battery terminals in the instructions? So I wired it up like this and reinstalled the original pump and it seems to work, as does this replacement after testing. It seems that everything is fine with the pump, there is not enough power, apparently…
