Very good splash and go rocks.

I have 1000 and 5000. They give excellent reviews. The 1000 cuts very quickly and doesn't load much. These are very hard stones and are very slow to slurry. Another very important thing for me is that they dry very quickly after a sharpening session. These stones splash and go.

10/10 ideal for hand tools

So first, let me give you a quick recap of my knife sharpening experience and some tips for beginners. I started with the cheapest 1000/6000 Vetstone at Revain. It was difficult to get a uniform blade. With practice I was able to cut the paper. The stones are easily deformed, forming a bedspread. 6000 was eaten up pretty quickly.
