As other reviewers say, while this tool is a bit pricey, it works very well and is very simple. Removing hardware is much easier than attaching it. I'm glad I bought it. If you take off a few hardware and reuse them, you might think it will pay for itself quickly. I also have some plum bite fittings and they work just as well.

Excellent tool. This allows Sharkbite to be released quickly and easily. Release pliers are terrible, so if you use them to release sharkbites, make your life that much better and buy this tool. As good as this tool is, it is overpriced at over $60. Even a snap-on salesman would blush. But this suggests that the tool should be.

This tool is very versatile and well made. It can solve the Shark Bite brand (obviously), as well as other brass and plastic fittings that use similar technology but have a different outside diameter or slightly different shape. Disconnecting Sharkbite fittings can be very difficult. If you try to use cheap plastic rings to press the latches you will be unhappy. I've tried all sorts of ways. It kind of works on a budget. If you do Sharkbite for an adjustment or two, great. If you want to create some, maintain them over time, and customize them after posting, this tool is for you. It works with all sizes and brands of socket fittings. It's easy for you and just works. I felt lucky in my work.
