The design is flawed no matter how well assembled (which isn't very good either)

Firstly it doesn't look well assembled. Soldering between parts is not uniform, poor quality. You don't feel the tight fit between the parts that you would expect from a solid precision instrument. But the worst thing is that it will never work. Whetstones are very narrow, so they roll rather than slide on the blade. So you either have to press really hard to destroy your knife or you have the sturdiest hands in the world. I tried sharpening a knife that already had a good edge and it didn't…

Edit, the seller resolved the issues almost immediately. They are very easy to work with and I can only recommend them. Initially 3 stars, upgraded to 4 stars with help from seller. Pros - Ease of use, good quality for the price of the tool itself, although some screws that should be knurled are socket head and some are knurled. Bolts must have a hex head for further tightening. It holds blades very well unless the blade has at least a 1/2 inch flat face. I wouldn't use it for daggers. Cons…

Where to start? After reading reviews and watching YouTube videos, I was convinced that this item was a winner. But in truth, this is a great idea that loses in execution. Right out of the box, many of the components looked like they shouldn't have gone through quality control, a concept often overlooked when it comes to "Made in China". The angle of the stone to the blade is different as the blade rotates no matter what.

I like the overall design of this sharpener. But the angle between the stone and the blade of the knife changes at least 3 degrees as the knife rotates. I use a protractor on my phone as the instructions suggest. in the manual) the angle difference between the two sides will be more obvious. Great sharpening system with updated gems and mods

I bought this system to update the Edge Pro fake I'm using. This system is much better. I understand this is something of a customized fake KME. Thanks to the clamp and swivel, you can carefully sharpen both sides of the knives with your dominant hand, with the angle remaining absolutely constant. For me, this is a huge improvement over the Edge Pro I used, which didn't grab the knife and required me to sharpen one side with my non-dominant hand. It took me about 45 minutes to sharpen three…
