Preserved Wong Shape

Sherrill mud boring tools make excellent ribs. This one is great for scraping the potty and adding volume to the hand shape. However, the seller sent me the wrong shape so the rib doesn't work for the purpose I intended it to. I have one that is long and flat on one end and pointed on two sides. It's quite expensive for a rib, maybe the seller doesn't understand that the shape matters.

Pros
  • Clays & Doughs
Cons
  • Expensive

Great tools, but take them too!

If you throw clay or shape it with your hands, it's a great tool. This is "1". I also bought size "0" which is smaller. .amazon.com/gp/product/B00WT96GQC/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00WT96GQC/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1https://smile.amazon .com/gp/product/B0052F5BES/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Great tool!

I love this tool! It's so soft and flexible, perfect for cycling. Sometimes I just prefer to use something soft and flexible instead of a metal rib. This is great because it won't rust or cut your fingers like other sharp metal ribs usually do. This is great to use when throwing something off center as it's kinder to the pot than a metal fin. As an advanced potter I find this to be helpful because if I use too much force my pot usually just falls off when I use the metal rib. But this rib…
