Good brake best in sport

I ordered silver but got black otherwise the brake is amazing, works well and very smooth. Much better than my original V-brake.

Pros

Cons
  • weak

Ideal. Does the job right.

Was very easy to install and very smooth on my Mongoose MTB. The only problem I had was that the original cable housing was difficult to fit into the noodles.

Pros
  • Bike Brakes and Parts
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Short mounting screws - you may need your old ones.

Fast delivery exactly as described. I installed them in 20 minutes and they were set up pretty much how I wanted them with a little tweaking. Good stopping power.

Very easy to fit

Had to replace my daughter's brakes on a bike she only uses in the summer. I was a little concerned that it would be more difficult than my nonexistent skills could handle. I watched a video and here we go, everything went exactly as it should. Set up for a simple installation with simple wiring was even easier than I had hoped.

  • Sport
Cons
  • Older model

Great purchase but does not sit flush with all brake struts.

These are excellent quality V-brakes but may not be fully compatible with your brake struts. You need to measure the height of the widest (lowest) part of the brake leg. If this section is 4mm then these brakes will be flush when installed. If the base of your brake strut is 6mm, the V-brake will not fit snugly to the bottom of the brake strut, leaving a 2mm gap; This is because the internal depth of the bolt hole (to attach to the widest part of the brake leg) is only about 4mm on V-brakes…

  • Outdoors
Cons
  • Almost never
