DO NOT BUY THESE PINS! These are cheap Chinese imitations! The "yellow" pads fell off after just a few weeks of light use. Real Shimano spikes have yellow pads in the contact area you walk on - they were orange and came off right away! These were the worst spikes I have ever used. and I've been riding Shimano pedals and cleats for over 25 years. Shame on you for trying to trade this absolute crap!

I tried cleats that looked the same but were made by a third party. I guess the dimensions were a bit off but that made it very difficult to get the cleat off the pedal. These Shimano cleats are easier to remove and I feel like I've gotten used to them. Although I paid a little more, they are worth it - to avoid the potential safety issue of not being able to get your shoes off the pedals fast enough.

Very good quality. Have been using them for years. I only used Shimano cleats. So I can't compare other brands. They cost a few euros more than other brands. I would recommend spike covers to extend life if you have to run in cycling shoes. Also, it is less noisy with covers. Bolt rescue when I had a mechanical issue that required me to walk a few miles to my car. The boots hold up well when you have to walk.

I just ordered these shoes for my new Sidi 5 road shoes. This is the 3rd or 4th set of SPD-SL cleats I've bought in the last 6 years. I drive about 2500 miles a year and the studs usually last a few years before needing to be replaced. When I'm not on the bike I use Kool Kovers cleat covers which seem to extend the life of the cleats. The product was delivered in "retail packaging" within the estimated delivery window.

I rode with red, yellow and blue studs. Of all the spikes, the yellow ones are best for your knees, and your body will thank you after long rides! Of course, you won't be as effective as using 100% of your power, but be realistic. Do you really think you release numbers like Sagan? I would not recommend any other colors unless you are wearing a professional uniform as the risk of doing real damage to your joints is too great.

Buy the original. A ruined trip and spending $14 on a fake is heartbreaking. Don't make the wrong choice. Learn from my mistake. It cost me an extra $14 for buying unnecessary knockoffs and 1 spike only lasted 30 miles. I should have bought them beforehand. i am so cheap I feel depressed about it. These Shimano cleats are very well made. Switched from SPD mountain bike pedals to SPD-SL road bike pedals on my road bike. These cleats are designed for SPD-SL pedals. Much nicer to have them on my road bike than mountain bike pedals. They have more surface area for more power transfer to the pedals, which means you go faster!
